Adding Subjects

The Semester dropdown must be set before the subject search is enabled. Choose a semester first. The search field is disabled until one is selected.

The Campus dropdown is optional. Use it to narrow results to a specific campus. If your subjects are spread across campuses, leave it unset to see all available subjects.

Searching for a subject

Type a subject code (e.g. 48430) or any part of a subject name (e.g. software) into the search field. Results appear in a dropdown as you type. The search is debounced, so wait a moment after typing for the results to load.

Click a result to add the subject to your list. If the subject is already in your list, clicking it again has no effect.

The subject list

Added subjects appear in the sidebar. Each subject shows:

  • The subject code
  • An expandable list of activity groups
  • A colour dot you can click to change the colour used in the timetable grid

You can add as many subjects as you need. The solver handles multiple subjects simultaneously.

Removing a subject

Click the × button next to a subject to remove it. Removing a subject clears any locked choices associated with it and, if no subjects remain, clears the current solution results.

Why subjects might be missing from results

  • The subject may not be offered in the selected semester. Try a different semester.
  • The subject may not be available at the selected campus. Clear the campus filter or try a different campus.
  • The subject code may be the Callista code rather than the display code. Try searching by name instead.
